It's that time of year for the annual Greylock Animal Hospital Canine and Feline Rabies Clinics!
Rabies vaccines and Distemper vaccines are very important for your pet to have. Over the past few years, we have seen many outbreaks of Rabies in our area. Rabies is a zoonotic disease; therefore is transmittable to you and your loved ones if an untreated pet becomes infected. Please vaccinate your pets against these potentially life threatening diseases. The price is $15 per Rabies vaccine. We accept cash or check only.
For your convenience, we are offering the clinics on three different dates at three different locations:
- Saturday, March 22, 2014: The North Adams Clinic is at the North Adams Fire Station on American Legion Drive in North Adams, MA.
- Saturday, April 5, 2014: The Williamstown Clinic is at the Town Garage on Simonds Road in Williamstown, MA.
- Saturday, April 19, 2014: The Adams Clinic is at the Forest Fire Building on Warden Drive in Adams, MA.
CORRECTION: Due to a new government law, we are unable to give your pet Distemper vaccines at these clinics. The new law requires a veterinarian give a physical exam prior to administering the Distemper vaccine. We are still able to give your pet the Rabies vaccine at the clinics. The current law allows this, because Rabies is a disease that is transmittable to human beings and can potentially become an epidemic.
We hope to see you there.
